In 2024 Schluter-Systems Germany implemented EPG ONE Warehouse Control System (WCS) in a Warehouse Management deployment to digitalize and orchestrate logistics at its new central warehouse in Iserlohn. The implementation centered on EPG’s LFS WMS as the core warehouse management and orchestration layer, configured to support automated material flows and transactional warehouse tasks.
Functional scope included warehouse control capabilities delivered by EPG ONE Warehouse Control System (WCS), shipping execution modules, and standard Warehouse Management functions such as inventory control, order picking orchestration and goods receipt processing. Configuration work emphasized WCS-driven tasking and real-time orchestration alongside shipping module configuration for label and manifest processing.
The solution integrated the WMS and WCS with on-site automation and shipping subsystems to enable real-time control, error handling and coordinated task assignment across inbound receiving, putaway, picking and outbound shipping at the Iserlohn site. Operational coverage was centered on logistics and warehouse operations teams, with system control functions providing a single source for shop floor execution and automation coordination.
Governance focused on standardized operational runbooks, exception handling procedures and centralized control to reduce manual interventions during fulfillment. The program is documented in a 2025 case study that reports improved throughput and lower error rates following the rollout.
