| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle NetSuite ERP | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2012 | 2012 |
In 2012, Scottish Power implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP to address core finance and accounting operations within its utilities business. The Oracle NetSuite ERP deployment served as an ERP Financial platform intended to centralize transactional finance, standardize accounting controls, and provide a single source of record for statutory reporting.
The implementation concentrated on core financial modules consistent with ERP Financial functionality, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and billing, with configuration for multi-entity accounting and period close controls. Workstreams emphasized chart of accounts harmonization, automated journal processing, and role based access to strengthen financial governance and auditability.
Operational responsibility remained within finance and accounting functions, where the system supported routine transactional processing and month end close workflows. Governance changes included tighter close orchestration, standardized approval workflows within Oracle NetSuite ERP, and enhanced segregation of duties implemented through system configuration.

| Benefex, a Zellis Company | Legacy | Benefex OneHub | Benefits | Benefits Administration | HCM | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020 ScottishPower implemented Benefex OneHub | Benefits to centralize employee rewards and align benefits administration with its net zero and sustainability objectives, using the Benefits Administration platform to make benefit discovery and selection the single source of truth for employees. The deployment reinforced the company commitment to sustainability and provided a configurable benefits portal that sits within the Benefits Administration category to support ESG aligned offerings and ongoing employee engagement.
The Benefex OneHub | Benefits rollout configured a suite of functional modules and marketplace capabilities, including a salary sacrifice electric vehicle scheme with Tusker, an EV loan scheme, an EV grant program, Power Me worksite EV charging and home charger discounts, an expanded cycle to work voucher up to 3,000, public transport season ticket loans and First Bus discounts, pension ESG options with four green investment funds, employee discounts and technology vouchers, Perks at Work, PlanViewer access for pension investment choices, the Count Us In employee pledge site, Payroll Giving, and the Trees with Benefits forest planting feature. Configuration emphasized benefits catalog management, enrollment workflows, and self service selection to enable year round access and simplified enrollment experiences.
The implementation integrated Single Sign On to improve accessibility and to increase visibility of pension and benefits information, and the OneHub platform acted as a central home for benefits communications and selection across ScottishPower UK sites and its 5,000 plus employee base. Operational coverage included Reward and Benefits, HR, payroll touch points for salary sacrifice and loan administration, and communications teams for ongoing engagement and campaign management.
Governance and process changes aligned benefits design and communications with corporate sustainability targets, with Reward and Benefit teams coordinating benefit additions, promotional campaigns, and enrollment windows through the OneHub portal. The program built on an existing Benefex relationship established in 2019 and emphasized centralized content governance, single sign on access, and streamlined enrollment processes to support behavioural change and internal advocacy.
Results reported via the Benefex OneHub | Benefits implementation include direct engagement and environmental outcomes documented since launch, for example 230 employees joined the EV salary sacrifice scheme and an estimated annual avoidance of 460 tonnes of CO2, 47 employees selected EV loans and 183 selected EV grants, 143 employees signed up for cycle to work, and 300 trees have been planted through Marketplace selections. Platform engagement metrics included a 136 percent increase in OneHub logins from the 2022 to 2023 enrolment periods, 85 percent of employees rating ease of submission as good or very good, one in three employees visiting the site throughout the year, and a 369 percent increase in PlanViewer visits when the four new ESG pension funds launched in September 2022.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP S/4HANA Utilities | Utilities ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015 Scottish Power implemented SAP S/4HANA Utilities as its new billing and enterprise resource platform in a program classified under Utilities ERP. The multi-year deployment moved 3.6 million customers onto the SAP S/4HANA Utilities billing environment, the program ran close to five years and was executed with IBM as the implementation partner on a reported £200million SAP based contract.
The implementation focused on centralizing billing and customer account management capabilities typical of Utilities ERP solutions, including billing engine operations, invoice generation, customer account reconciliation, and customer service case handling workflows. Configuration and automation workstreams targeted utilities-specific master data, tariff and rate handling, and billing run orchestration within SAP S/4HANA Utilities to support end-to-end meter-to-cash processing and revenue accounting flows.
Operational coverage spanned customer service, billing operations and finance, with the migration of 3.6 million customer accounts cited as the core cutover activity. IBM was identified as the systems integrator for the SAP S/4HANA Utilities rollout and the deployment was described as an enterprise-wide billing modernization for Scottish Power across its United Kingdom customer base.
Governance and rollout messaging acknowledged post-migration service issues for a subset of customers while noting that the vast majority experienced improved service, and Scottish Power committed to remediation activities. The program narrative emphasizes the scale of the Utilities ERP implementation, the concentration on billing and customer account consolidation, and ongoing operational fixes rather than quantified outcomes.
