| SAP | Legacy | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015 Seven Group Holdings deployed SAP S/4 HANA as part of a multi-phase ERP Financial program led by the SAP Australia engagement team. The initiative began as a greenfields Phase 1 implementation for WesTrac and progressed into an in-process rollout to the corporate parent, Seven Group Holdings, establishing SAP S/4 HANA as the enterprise ERP Financial backbone for finance and procurement processes.
The implementation covered core SAP S/4 HANA Finance and Procurement capabilities, and the program configured complementary modules including SAP ERP HR and Payroll, SuccessFactors Employee Central and performance and goals management, OpenText VIM for invoice processing, and Fiori for user experience. HANA Live operational reporting, BW and BO reporting layers, and BPC for planning at WesTrac and consolidation at SGH were part of the functional landscape, aligning financial close and planning workflows with the ERP Financial environment.
Integrations were explicitly executed with Ariba for upstream Source to Contract processes, with OpenText VIM integrated into procurement invoicing, and with workforce systems including Kronos and CATS for payroll and time capture. Interfaces to Cat dealer management systems were maintained, and the technical scope included PO interfaces, testing automation, cutover orchestration, and coordination between onsite and offshore SDC consulting resources to support end to end integration and data flows.
Program governance emphasized formal project controls, weekly status reporting to the S3 Program, and monthly reporting to the SAP PMO. Testing governance included managed cycles for system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and payroll parallel runs, with SIT and UAT closure reporting, production go live support across multiple cutovers, post go live support incident management, and a planned knowledge transfer to SAP AMS, alongside resource onboarding and rolloff and financial control of the program.
Deliverables were recorded on a fixed schedule with milestone Go Live dates for key components, including Ariba Source to Contract Go Live April 16, 2015, SuccessFactors employee management Go Live July 1, 2015, and SAP ERP HR Payroll with related integrations Go Live August 3, 2015. The program team received internal recognition when the SAP delivery team was awarded the President’s Award for Delivery Team of the Quarter in APJ, reflecting documented delivery outcomes for the SAP S/4 HANA ERP Financial program.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015 Seven Group Holdings implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as part of a greenfields SAP S3 program that began with WesTrac and extended into the corporate parent, SGH. The implementation of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central was executed during the Phase 1 delivery window in 2015 and continued into the subsequent rollout through 2016, aligning Core HR capabilities across the group.
The deployment configured core modules including SuccessFactors Employee Central, performance and goals management, and SuccessFactors time and leave management. SuccessFactors Employee Central and performance and goals management reached go-live on July 1, 2015, and time and leave management was included in the broader HR and payroll go-live on August 3, 2015. Configuration emphasized Core HR data model alignment, employee central record consolidation, and standard successfactors workforce processes.
Architecturally the build integrated with on-premise SAP ERP HR and Payroll components, Kronos and CATS time capture, upstream Ariba source to contract flows, OpenText VIM for invoice processing, Fiori user interfaces, HANA Live and operational reporting plus BW and BO reporting stacks and BPC planning and consolidation at group and WesTrac levels. The implementation included interfaces to Cat dealer management systems and connected HR master data into finance and procurement streams to enable cross-functional record consistency.
Governance operated through a centralized SAP program team with weekly status reporting to the S3 program and monthly reporting to the SAP PMO, formal testing cycles including system integration testing, user acceptance testing and payroll parallel runs, and PGL support during multiple go-lives. The program managed consulting resource onboarding and rolloff, maintained program financial controls, produced SIT and UAT closure reports, and executed knowledge transfer and transition of Phase 1 support to SAP AMS.
Outcomes explicitly documented by the program include on-time delivery of the SuccessFactors Employee Central and related projects during 2015 and recognition of the SAP program team with the President's Award Delivery Team of the Quarter in APJ. Operational support processes were instituted for post go-live incident resolution and ongoing AMS handover, reflecting an emphasis on stabilization and run-state governance.
