In 2021 Seward & Kissel implemented Emburse Invoice Enterprise as its AP Automation platform to centralize accounts payable operations. The deployment positioned Emburse Invoice Enterprise to support invoice processing, approvals, and payment orchestration for the firm’s accounts payable function.
The implementation configured functional workflows for invoice editing, retrieving approvals for payment, processing payments, and setting up wires, with specific handling for EFD payments. Configuration also included verification and reconciliation workflows and scheduled routines to run aging reports daily, aligning application automation with standard AP processing steps.
Emburse Invoice Enterprise was integrated with existing systems including 3E Elite, SAP, Chrome River, Excel, and Word to maintain data continuity and support downstream reconciliation and reporting. The integration scope focused on accounts payable operations and document flow between Emburse Invoice Enterprise and financial record systems.
Implementation governance established AP policies, procedures, and standardized forms for the accounts payable department, and the project team assisted with the implementation of Chrome River to coordinate expense and invoice workflows. Controls for approvals and reconciliation were institutionalized to formalize process ownership and operational cadence within the AP function.

| Fulcrum Global Technologies | Legacy | Fulcrum Snap HCM Advantage | Benefits Administration | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2019 |
In 2018 Seward & Kissel selected SAP with Fulcrum GT and engaged Fulcrum Snap HCM Advantage to address intake, time, billing, finance, collections and expense processing for its United States back-office operations. The public announcement emphasized deployment of financial and time modules rather than human capital management functionality.
Implementation focused on Fulcrum Snap HCM Advantage, identified in the Benefits Administration category, with explicit configuration of intake workflows, time capture and timekeeping, billing and invoicing processing, collections workflows, and expense processing. Configuration work included modular setup for time entry validation, billing logic and finance posting controls consistent with Benefits Administration adjacent processes and back-office financial orchestration.
The program paired SAP with Fulcrum GT Snap, indicating an integration surface between SAP financials and Fulcrum Snap components for time and billing orchestration and data exchange. Operational coverage targeted finance, billing and timekeeping teams across the United States, with transactional handoffs to collections and expense approval workflows to support end to end back-office processing.
Go-live was planned roughly six months after selection, with governance oriented to coordinated rollout across finance and timekeeping functions and consolidation of intake and billing processes. Any use of Fulcrum Snap HCM Advantage for Benefits Administration or broader HCM functions is inferred only if Seward & Kissel later adopted additional modules from Fulcrum Global Technologies Snap HCM suite.
