In 2016, Sayed Hamid Behbehani & Sons Co. (SHBC) deployed Oracle Aconex | Online Project Management to manage information and processes for the US$928 million expansion of Al Farwaniya Hospital in Kuwait City. The deployment used the Aconex cloud and mobile collaboration platform to centralize project records, document control, and construction information management across SHBC project teams and external subcontractors. SHBC used Oracle Aconex | Online Project Management within the Project Portfolio Management domain to manage construction project information and execution workflows.
Configuration emphasized document management, transmittals, submittals, requests for information workflows, and structured approval routing to enforce governance and reduce information fragmentation during execution. The implementation prioritized cloud hosted access and mobile field capture to support site engineers, construction management, and project controls functions across the hospital expansion program. Rollout was executed at the project level across multidisciplinary teams and suppliers, instituting standardized workflows, audit trails, and role based access to support accountability and collaboration.

In 2019 SHBC deployed Choopa to host its public website, using Choopa as the chosen Application Hosting and Computing Services provider. The implementation centered on supporting SHBC’s corporate web presence for the Kuwait-based construction and real estate firm with about 1500 employees.
The Choopa configuration provisioned standard hosting layers consistent with Application Hosting and Computing Services, including virtual compute instances, persistent storage, network routing, and platform security controls to support web content and application delivery. Operational configuration included server provisioning, SSL TLS termination for secure traffic, and centralized logging and monitoring capabilities to maintain runtime visibility for the site.
Operational ownership was aligned to SHBC IT operations and the web team, with formal change control and deployment processes for content updates and site maintenance. Choopa serves as the primary compute and hosting layer for SHBC’s public-facing digital presence, providing the runtime and networking backbone for the company website.
