In 2004, Shelco implemented CMiC ERP. The CMiC ERP implementation serves as the companys Construction ERP platform supporting core project and financial workflows across the business.
The CMiC ERP deployment was configured to address project accounting, contract and change order management, procurement coordination and field operations workflows typical of Construction ERP. Configuration emphasis aligned financial controls with onsite reporting and estimating processes to support construction project lifecycles.
Operationally, IT responsibility included WAN and user support across three locations in North Carolina, supporting more than 100 users. CMiC ERP operated alongside Sage Timberline, On Screen Takeoff, BlueBeam, PlanGrid, Raken and standard Office applications, with local IT providing application availability, user account management and network connectivity.
Governance and operational coverage centered on project management, accounting, estimating and field teams, with IT-managed network and help desk support coordinating access and day to day user support across the three North Carolina sites.

In 2009 Shelco deployed Bluebeam Revu as a Collaboration platform across its three North Carolina sites. The implementation supported more than 100 users and was managed by the company IT organization that retained responsibility for WAN connectivity and user support across those locations.
Bluebeam Revu was configured to provide PDF based document collaboration, markup standardization, sheet comparison and Studio session workflows for real time and asynchronous plan review. Configuration work emphasized standardized tool sets, stamp libraries and project templates to align with construction estimating and project delivery processes.
Bluebeam Revu operated alongside Sage Timberline, On Screen Takeoff, PlanGrid, Raken and CMiC ERP, enabling file exchange and markup handoffs between estimating, project management and field reporting functions. The deployment targeted business functions including estimating, project controls, project management and field crews, reflecting a Collaboration use case for construction operations.
Governance and ongoing rollout were administered by Shelco’s internal IT team, which provisioned users, managed WAN delivery and provided desktop support for Bluebeam Revu in concert with standard Office applications. Support practices were embedded into day to day IT operations for the three site footprint in North Carolina.

In 2011, Shelco implemented Microsoft Project Online for Project Portfolio Management to support its commercial construction portfolio. The deployment focused on projects ranging from $100,000 to $58 million and centralized project schedule ownership with project managers responsible for schedule creation and maintenance, subcontractor contract drafting, and field coordination.
Microsoft Project Online was used to create and maintain project schedules, to maintain submittal logs for timely processing, and to manage the punch list process through to completion. Functional workflows emphasized schedule baselines aligned with subcontractor contract terms, routine progress meetings with owners and subcontractors, and schedule driven tracking of submittals and punch list items.
Operational coverage included project controls, contract administration, and site supervision across Shelco commercial projects, with project managers owning governance for schedules and contractual deliverables. Microsoft Project Online served as the central Project Portfolio Management record for execution phase scheduling and work scope coordination.
