Oracle Legacy Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP Financial ERP n/a 2014 2014
In 2014 Shoe Show implemented Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne as its ERP Financial platform. The deployment focused on corporate finance operations where a Staff Accountant for Special Projects reported to the CFO and accounting executives and executed payment processing, reconciling, verifying and recording expenses to ensure the company’s debt to suppliers and creditors was paid accurately and on time. Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne was configured to support accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and cash receipt workflows, with the Staff Accountant generating AR invoices and determining amounts owed by coordinating with other departments under lease agreements. The team produced Excel templates for various vendor imports to simplify daily processing, and created detailed schedules and procedures for Wire, ACH, Check and Direct Transmission payment methods to standardize transaction handling. Governance and operational control were codified through procedure and resource documents maintained under CFO and accounting leadership, with the Staff Accountant resolving complex payment issues directly within the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne system and creating resource documentation to maintain GL account code accuracy. Documentation and standardized templates centralized payment execution and vendor import processes within Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, embedding ERP Financial functional workflows into Shoe Show’s finance operations.

The deployment focused on a cloud-hosted storefront and catalog layer to support product merchandising, customer profiles, checkout workflows, promotions, and order capture across the public site. Salesforce Commerce Cloud was configured to manage product catalog and merchandising rules, storefront templates and page composition, search and browse relevance, cart and checkout orchestration, and customer segmentation for personalization. The implementation emphasized standard eCommerce capabilities including catalog management, promotion engines, payment orchestration, and order lifecycle handling within the Commerce Cloud framework. The Commerce Cloud instance was exercised on Shoe Show’s website and extended into operational workflows for merchandising, marketing, eCommerce operations, and customer service. Integrations were scoped as typical eCommerce touchpoints, connecting the storefront to payment processing, fulfillment and order management endpoints, and customer data flows to support online order handling and service operations. Governance centered on catalog and content workflows, merchandising approval processes, and staged rollout controls for promotions and site updates, with role-based authoring and release procedures to manage ongoing site changes. Shoe Show Salesforce Commerce Cloud eCommerce implementation aligns the application with core online retail functions while consolidating storefront management and merchandising governance within the Commerce Cloud environment.
