In 2020, SiteMinder implemented Workday Financial Management to consolidate finance operations across its multi-national SaaS business. The implementation responded to a sprawling chart of accounts of more than 1,500 accounts and manual, excel based consolidations that extended month end close to 20 days, creating operational drag on the finance function and limiting strategic focus.
The deployment included core Financial Management functionality along with Expenses and Procure to Pay, configured to simplify the chart of accounts and enable real time consolidations. Workday Financial Management was used to automate accounts payable, introduce mobile receipt capture for expenses, and apply seven different currency rates across transactions to normalize FX noise and provide clearer enterprise performance signals.
Operational coverage prioritized finance and business lines across SiteMinder’s seven offices and roughly 900 employees, with self service reporting and role based dashboards enabling lines of business to produce their own reports. Access controls were scoped so the CEO can view full financials while individual cost centre managers see only the KPIs relevant to their area, and auditors were granted dedicated logins with time stamped audit trails to streamline evidence access.
Governance and workflow transformation focused on automated expense approvals, embedded control testing, and tighter budget to actual linkage to improve accountability. As a result of the ERP Financial deployment, SiteMinder reduced month end close time by 50 percent, reduced manual integrations and reconciliation effort, and shifted finance capacity toward strategic analysis and faster decision making.

SiteMinder deployed Salesforce Chat as a Chatbots and Conversational AI solution to support customer-facing functions, specifically to enable live web engagement for customer support and web sales on siteminder.com.
The implementation focused on core chat modules including the web chat widget and the agent console, configured for real-time chat sessions, pre-chat forms, canned responses, presence-based agent assignment, routing rules, and transcript capture.
