The implementation emphasized SAP S/4 HANA - Materials Management (MM) functional modules including procurement-to-pay workflows, goods receipt and issue processing, stock transfer handling, and inventory valuation configurations typical of Inventory Management deployments. Workstreams covered master data harmonization for materials and vendors, movement type and document configuration, and MM purchasing and inventory cycle configuration to support logistics and procurement business functions.
Integration work was executed using ALE/IDOC messaging patterns to support ERP interfaces and external systems, and the project explicitly incorporated cross-module integration with SAP SD, SAP LE, and the IS-OIL industry solution to support end-to-end logistics and supply chain processes. The architecture centered on the SAP HANA database and S/4 HANA application layer with developed and tested interface systems to connect transaction and distribution flows across the SK-Energy family.
Governance and rollout were led by a Logistics Process Leader and consultant role, with defined activities to analyze As-Is processes and the legacy system, gather business requirements for the SAP HANA version, redesign business processes and system configuration, develop and test ERP and interface components, and implement, apply, and support the live ERP system. The effort focused on reworking procurement, logistics execution, and inventory control workflows to align operational processes with the SAP S/4 HANA platform.
