The team prepared and posted payroll journal entries to the payroll ledger, ran union dues reports and processed payments, managed Health and Welfare benefit deductions, and provided employment verification for HR driven processes such as mortgage verification, unemployment claims and worker's compensation claims.
Operational governance included quarterly verification and adjustment of tax withholding with refund processing as required, updating SUI rate notices through the ADP Support Center, preparing and tracking amendment requests through ADP, and working with ADP on tax notifications and discrepancy resolution. Ongoing controls consisted of payroll output verification, distribution checks, ADP Reporting for routine reporting, assistance with month-end and year-end payroll close activities, and ensuring compliance with legal and tax requirements.
