Operational governance centered on the SAP BASIS team responsible for 47 SAP systems across development, QA, and production, with BI reporting used by the headquarters buying department and retail operations across about 200 stores in the UK, Ireland, Europe and the online channel. Reported outcomes from the cloud-aligned deployment included freeing IT teams from routine management to focus on innovation, a pay as you use model, a reduction in infrastructure expansion lead time from months to minutes, improved data ingestion for business intelligence reporting, and 75% more time directed toward innovation rather than IT management.
