In 2016, SRS Distribution implemented Edenred Pay Invoice Automation, also known historically as IPS Productivity Wrx, to address high-volume AP processing needs and to centralize AP Automation across its distribution network. The implementation targeted non inventory invoice workflows and centralized capture of supplier invoices that had been arriving by mail and shared email inboxes, with the objective of moving accounts payable away from manual data entry toward automated invoice processing and exception handling.
The deployment configured core capabilities typical of AP Automation, including automated capture of emailed invoices, optical character recognition and data extraction, validation rules, duplicate detection, and configurable exception routing. The solution was set up to upload approved invoice data directly into the company ERP, and to digitally route invoices requiring review to branch managers or AP reviewers based on pre configured business rules, reducing manual touchpoints in invoice posting.
Integrations included a direct data upload into SRS Distribution's DMSI Agility ERP platform, and the capture layer was connected to corporate and branch shared inboxes for email ingestion. Rollout activity documented in customer materials shows a significant training effort, with IPS training 400 branch and district managers via Zoom in the week prior to the noted production go live, enabling broad operational coverage across branches and districts.
Governance and process redesign were implemented alongside the software, with business rules to prevent simultaneous work on the same invoice, to identify potential duplicate transactions before ERP entry, and to reroute approvals when branch managers were out of office.
