In 2016, Ssvec contracted TC Technology and SSP Innovations to deploy SSP MIMS to support maintenance management, the implementation is recorded under the Geology and Seismic Data Processing category. The Arizona focused deployment targeted field operations and inspections, aligning SSP MIMS with Ssvec business functions for maintenance management, field operations, SCADA operations, and regulatory reporting.
SSP MIMS was configured to centralize maintenance management workflows and to automate SCADA related Hot Line Order and clearance tracking. Functional capabilities implemented included Hot Line Order and clearance tracking automation, geospatial plotting of SCADA tags on maps, and mobile collection of as built and inspection data, with SSP MIMS serving as the authoritative application for those operational modules.
The deployment plotted SCADA tags on maps accessible to both office and mobile field personnel to support Hot Line Order execution and clearance validation, and it was integrated more tightly with corporate systems for reporting and regulatory compliance as part of the project scope. Integrations were described at the level of corporate reporting and compliance systems without naming upstream applications, preserving the focus on operational connectivity between field data capture and central reporting.
Governance and workflow restructuring centered on automating order and clearance tracking and formalizing handoffs between field crews and central operations teams, with rollout concentrated on Arizona field sites and inspection teams. SSP MIMS was restated as the operational system for maintenance management to ensure consistent data capture and inspection workflows across office and field personnel.
