In 2019, STACK Canada implemented Trulioo for digital identity verification during member onboarding to satisfy AML, KYC and FINTRAC requirements for its challenger banking and payments app. The deployment used a one-time integration into STACK's onboarding flow, and Trulioo provided identity verification and compliance screening capabilities aligned with the AML, Fraud and Compliance category.
Trulioo processed more than 750,000 transactions across 105 countries and nearly $30 million in volume in less than a year, supporting onboarding and transaction screening workflows. Functional coverage centered on digital identity verification, automated KYC checks, and compliance reporting to FINTRAC, centralizing identity proofing and risk screening within the application.
For a 25 employee fintech, embedding Trulioo into the onboarding stack streamlined frontline onboarding and compliance operations. The implementation was reported to enable faster onboarding and improved compliance reporting following the one-time integration.
