In 2017 Standard Chartered Singapore implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its ERP Financial system, replacing SAP ERP ECC 6.0. The SAP S/4 HANA deployment established a digital core for the bank's finance and treasury operations, intended to unify financial ledgers and provide a foundation for real-time finance and cash positioning.
Configuration centered on ERP Financial capabilities, with implementations aligned to general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury and cash management, and payments processing. Workflows and transaction posting were configured to support automated reconciliation and near real-time cash updates consistent with SAP S/4 HANA finance patterns.
In 2021 Standard Chartered Singapore integrated SAP Multi-Bank Connectivity as a cloud service natively connected to SAP S/4 HANA, joining the SAP corporate-to-bank network to enable API-based corporate-to-bank integration. That integration supported end-to-end payment processes, on-demand real time debit and credit notifications to client accounts, automated reconciliation, and triggering of downstream workflows such as credit line replenishment.
Operational scope emphasized corporate banking and treasury functions, enabling corporate clients on the SAP network to be onboarded into digital payment and cash management experiences. Governance and process changes aligned treasury operations and account notification handling to API-driven workflows, with the combined SAP S/4 HANA and SAP Multi-Bank Connectivity architecture designed to simplify onboarding, streamline communications with banks, and automate transactional banking services.

| Mercer | Legacy | Mercer Darwin Benefits (formerly Thomsons Online Benefits) | Benefits Administration | HCM | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016, Standard Chartered Singapore implemented Mercer Darwin Benefits (formerly Thomsons Online Benefits) to centralize employee benefits workflows under the Benefits Administration domain, supporting HR and payroll processes across its regional operations. The implementation was executed alongside an SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central rollout, with the effort led from the benefits and pay module perspective to align benefits enrollment with payroll outputs and compliance requirements.
Configuration work included Foundation Objects and MDF Objects configuration, benefits constructs for insurance, pension, and claims, and business rules and workflow design for 124 legal entities. The team prepared configuration workbooks, authored and reviewed test scripts, and managed data migration and cutover activities, reflecting an enterprise-grade configuration and testing discipline for Benefits Administration.
Integrations were explicitly designed between SuccessFactors Employee Central and Mercer Darwin Benefits, with SAP Cloud Platform Integration extracting employee data from SuccessFactors EC, transforming payloads, and delivering them to the Darwin system. Data mapping work traced benefits attributes from PeopleSoft HCM to SuccessFactors EC, and the Darwin system was instrumented to capture employee benefit elections and feed updated benefit details into payroll reporting. The program also intersected with a payroll remediation initiative that outsourced payroll for 30+ countries to vendor systems, and operational support included ABSPAY, a client server payroll application used across 16 countries.
Governance and rollout adhered to the bank standard processes for regulatory, security, risk assessment, compliance, and cloud governance, with approvals obtained from relevant control teams. The payroll remediation interfaces and benefits integration components were delivered and the payroll outsourcing interfaces were successfully implemented for all targeted countries, enabling the operational handover to managed payroll vendors while preserving benefits enrollment fidelity between Mercer Darwin Benefits and payroll systems.

| Temenos | Legacy | Temenos T24 | Core Banking | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2015 | 2016 |
In 2015, Standard Chartered Singapore implemented Temenos T24 Core Banking to centralize wealth and private banking processing. The deployment targeted Wealth Management operations, aligning the Temenos T24 application with a broader Temenos WealthSuite footprint to support retail and private banking client segments across 34 countries, and to standardize account and transaction processing across the region.
The Temenos T24 implementation encompassed core modules and configuration for wealth lending, bancassurance, client statements and advices, and account static data management. Functional capabilities were configured to support loans, deposits and payments automation, security master file setup and maintenance, and trade settlement workflows for structured notes and fixed income, reflecting typical Core Banking transaction and customer lifecycle processing.
Architecturally the program aligned Temenos T24 with Temenos WealthSuite functionality, and the work included detailed requirements gathering and process mapping to ensure interim and target state interoperability. Integration points were defined around account static data flows, security master updates, transaction settlement processing and payments orchestration to enable end to end processing across front office and middle office workflows.
Governance and rollout were driven by a target operating model and a structured change program, including 100 plus business process design workshops, requirements workshops, and the development of global procedures with local operational guidelines. Implementation governance emphasized process redesign, requirements alignment for wealth lending and reporting, and embedding operational standards to support regulatory and audit readiness.
