| Automation Anywhere | Legacy | IQ Bot | Intelligent Document Processing | Content Management | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020, Stant deployed IQ Bot from Automation Anywhere as an Intelligent Document Processing solution to automate Accounts Payable invoice processing. The Accounts Payable team was overwhelmed by manual invoice matching and exception handling, which caused reporting delays and risk of supplier payment delays, and the Finance organization sought a way to free time for procurement and supplier relationship management.
The implementation centered on IQ Bot cognitive capture combined with Automation Anywhere RPA to extract invoice data, classify invoice types, perform automated invoice to purchase order matching, and route exceptions for human review. Automation workflows handled repetitive data entry and validation work, enabling higher rates of straight through processing. Stant reported 80% invoice straight through processing, 94% of targeted supplier invoices processed, and 0 data entry errors following the deployment of IQ Bot and RPA.
Technical scope included integration of IQ Bot outputs into Accounts Payable workflows and the company financial reporting and procurement processes, which reduced the manual effort previously spent aligning reporting and validating invoice receipt information. Stant executed a Proof of Concept with Thirdware to validate Intelligent Document Processing and RPA, and after the PoC committed to a broader roll out of Automation Anywhere RPA across labor intensive shared services processes.
Governance changes centralized exception handling into an automated routing plus finance review model, enabling the CFO's team to focus on higher value activities while the digital workforce handled invoice matching and data entry. The implementation paired IQ Bot Intelligent Document Processing with RPA orchestration to scale throughput while preserving auditability. As CIO Andy Anderson noted, "RPA has begun to show benefits towards our corporate objectives, and thanks to Thirdware and Automation Anywhere, we have been able to improve performance, increase efficiency and reduce our invoice backlog simultaneously."
