SAP Legacy SAP SuccessFactors Compensation Compensation Management HCM n/a 2017 2017
In 2017, Steris UK deployed SAP SuccessFactors Compensation as part of a broader SuccessFactors footprint supporting a newly created HR Shared Services Team for EMEA. The deployment aligned Compensation Management with Employee Central, Recruitment, and Performance & Goals to centralize employee lifecycle data for more than 1500 employees across the UK, Ireland and EMEA. SAP SuccessFactors Compensation was configured alongside core modules including EC, Recruitment and Performance & Goals, with org chart and position management implemented to support position creation and job requisition workflows. Functional capabilities emphasized compensation plan administration, mass data uploads for system data migration, user acceptance testing led by a SuccessFactors super user, and custom reporting for monthly, yearly and ad hoc needs. The implementation integrated operational processes with finance and payroll workflows, using Oracle iProcurement for invoice and purchase order management and a bespoke interim reporting tool and database to bridge operations during the transfer from a third party payroll provider to an in-house payroll system. Operational coverage extended to HR, Compensation, Finance and Benefits teams, and the program provided support for cross-border activities including training and translated documentation for the Spanish office and support during the DIPSHA Mexico acquisition to harmonise benefits packages. Governance and rollout were driven by a central HRSS administrator model, with training documents, live system demos, troubleshooting and super user support embedded into business-as-usual processes. Day-to-day workflows included candidate management, offer issuance, new starter onboarding, end-to-end employee benefits administration including PMI and pensions, and UK car fleet lease management, which supported a seamless transition period during payroll change and a 2019 migration to a new company car provider.
