IBM Legacy IBM AS/400 ERP Financial ERP n/a 2016 2016
In 2016, Stobart Europe implemented IBM AS/400 as an ERP Financial system to support transport planning and customer account workflows at its Genk operation. The IBM AS/400 implementation was configured to handle company-specific input for special transport orders and to support a transport planner responsible for 10 Dutch car transport drivers, while providing account and single point of contact customer support. Configuration focused on simplifying entry of special orders into the company-specific AS/400 software, a capability developed in collaboration with the internal IT department. The implemented capability reduced the manual steps in a labor intensive task by restructuring order entry forms and standardizing data fields within IBM AS/400, enabling consistent special order capture across the transport planning process. Operational coverage was concentrated at the Genk site and encompassed transport planning and customer support functions, with the transport planner acting as operational owner. The deployment included structuring of joint email traffic and centralized order input processes so that IBM AS/400 became the primary system of record for special transport instructions and customer communication related to those orders. Governance was established through a partnership between the transport planning team and the IT department, who jointly refined the input workflows and rollout approach. The documented outcome from the implementation was simplification of special order entry and measurable time savings in an otherwise labor intensive activity.

Incerta Legacy Incerta VARIO Online Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) HCM n/a 2016 2016
In 2016 Stobart Europe implemented Incerta VARIO Online to consolidate its Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) management and centralize safety, quality and environmental administration across its branches and departments. Incerta VARIO Online was used to support the organizationwide transition to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 and to provide a single, internet accessible point for document control and policy communication. The deployment emphasized modular configuration, with quality, safety and environmental modules enabled to manage procedures, documentation and certificate follow up. Certificate follow up was highlighted as a distinct capability, and the VARIO Online modules were expanded and configured to reflect Eddie Stobart Europe specific workflows for quality and environmental compliance. The solution was delivered as an internet accessible platform so colleagues across different departments and branches could collaborate on a structured set of records, policies and corrective actions. This web access improved uniformity of communications that had previously been handled locally, and enabled centralized administration of ISO related documentation and certificates without named third party integrations. Governance and rollout involved direct collaboration with Incerta project managers and internal stakeholders led by Quality Manager Kurt De Vooght, which supported a coordinated transition to the new ISO standards. The implementation produced a streamlined administrative model for safety, quality and environmental processes and made certificate tracking and cross-branch policy communication more efficient according to the project stakeholders.

SAP Legacy SAP BW (Business Warehouse) Data Warehouse Analytics and BI n/a 2015 2016
In 2015 Stobart Europe implemented SAP BW (Business Warehouse) as its Data Warehouse to centralize operational reporting and analytical datasets for distribution and warehouse administration. The deployment was positioned to support inventory reconciliation, daily stock checks and order processing workflows used by warehouse staff and office administrators. SAP BW (Business Warehouse) was configured with standard data modeling and ETL layers to aggregate transactional stock and order data, and to provide OLAP style reporting and data marts for operational dashboards. Functional capabilities implemented included data extraction and transformation, dimensional modeling, a query and reporting layer, and scheduled loads to support routine stock verification and management reporting. The implementation integrated SAP BW with the site DWMS system referenced in operational notes and with existing SAP transactional sources for order processing and inventory adjustments. Operational coverage focused on warehouse operations, office administrators, warehouse team leaders and discrepancy teams at the Warrington site, reflecting processes for recording adjustments, preparing reports and corresponding with drivers and customers. Governance emphasized recorded audit trails for system adjustments, documented reconciliation workflows with discrepancy teams, and administrative procedures for filing records for customer and management review. Stobart Europe SAP BW (Business Warehouse) Data Warehouse was therefore aligned with warehouse administration and reporting functions to formalize inventory reporting and operational recordkeeping.
