Infor Legacy Infor Lawson Benefits Administration Benefits Administration HCM n/a 2012 2012
In 2012, Summa Health implemented Infor Lawson Benefits Administration to centralize benefits processing for its integrated healthcare delivery system. The deployment targeted Benefits Administration for more than 7,000 employees and was coordinated as part of a broader HR systems program that aligned benefits, payroll, and talent workflows. Infor Lawson Benefits Administration was configured to support standard benefits administration capabilities including eligibility and enrollment management, plan configuration, benefit deduction feeds, COBRA administration and reporting, and open enrollment workflow orchestration. Configuration emphasized role-based access and data validation to ensure consistent benefits eligibility rules across employee populations. The implementation integrated directly with Lawson Payroll and Lawson Benefits and linked to Infor Talent Acquisition and Infor Talent Management to synchronize HR master data, drive benefits enrollment from hiring events, and provide payroll deduction interfaces. Integrations focused on transactional feeds for payroll deductions, employee demographic updates, and eligibility triggers originating from talent acquisition and talent management workflows. The program defined, configured and implemented solutions for Lawson Payroll, Lawson Benefits, Infor Talent Acquisition, Infor Talent Management and related applications, with governance centered in HR and payroll operations. Project governance established cross-functional change control, standardized benefits administration workflows, and operational handoffs between HR, payroll and talent teams to manage configuration lifecycles and ongoing benefits policy updates.

Epic Systems Legacy Epic ASAP Clinical Trial Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2016 2016
In 2016, Summa Health implemented Epic ASAP as a Clinical Trial Management application. The Epic ASAP implementation focused on clinician-facing EHR workflows for patient care and documentation, integrating modules for ClinDoc, Stork, and Orders into operational processes. Configuration work centered on Epic ASAP modules, including ClinDoc and Stork for clinical documentation and Orders for computerized provider order entry and workflow orchestration. A credentialed trainer program delivered a standardized curriculum that applied adult learning principles to prepare clinicians, providers, and technical staff to use Epic ASAP. Instructional materials were iteratively edited and competency assessments were designed to validate user readiness. Training and go live support combined onsite and remote delivery during rollouts in Akron Ohio and across Summa HealthCare sites, training hundreds of end users and providing real time assistance in a go live environment. Trainers provided clinician-focused education on documentation and orders while supporting the transition of point of care workflows into the Epic ASAP environment. Operational governance included evaluating training needs before, during, and after each class, documenting sessions, and tracking attendance and competency to inform workflow adoption. Trainers maintained an ongoing understanding of Epic ASAP functionality and applied that knowledge to refine clinical workflows and documentation practices.

Clearsense Legacy Clearsense 20/20 ML and Data Science Platforms AI Development n/a 2025 2025
In 2025, Summa Health deployed Clearsense 20/20 as the ML and Data Science Platforms component within a broader 1Clearsense implementation. The deployment targeted creation of a longitudinal EHR and the unification of clinical and operational data to improve clinical decision-making and operational efficiency across its U.S. operations. Clearsense 20/20 was configured to serve as the data science and machine learning layer, providing capabilities for data ingestion and normalization, feature engineering, model development, and operational scoring. The implementation emphasized longitudinal patient record construction and standardized clinical datasets to support cohort analysis and predictive analytics, with Clearsense 20/20 delivering the analytics workflows and model lifecycle capabilities expected of ML and Data Science Platforms. The program centralized clinical and operational data feeds into the 1Clearsense environment, integrating EHR event streams and downstream operational datasets into a unified analytics repository. Operational scope covered clinical and operational functions within the United States, consolidating disparate source systems to enable consistent data models and analytical access for care and operations teams. Governance activities aligned with the technical rollout, instituting data governance controls, model validation and monitoring practices, and processes to embed analytical outputs into clinical decision workflows and operational dashboards. Summa HealthClearsense 20/20 ML and Data Science Platforms integration focused on enabling applied analytics for clinicians and operational leaders rather than standalone R&D, with configuration and governance designed to support repeatable model deployment and clinical adoption.
