In 2011, Summit Professional Education implemented Entrinsik SEMtek as its Education ERP platform and deployed Entrinsik Informer Web Reporting to provide enterprise reporting and operational visibility. Summit Professional Education manages thousands of events annually with over 60 instructors and maintains a customer base in excess of 100,000, creating a need for an integrated ERP and reporting layer to support event logistics and customer records.
The Entrinsik SEMtek deployment focused on core Education ERP workflows, including order entry and processing, customer management, event logistics and registration workflow orchestration, with Informer delivering configurable web reporting across those data domains. SEMtek was configured to centralize event and order data and to enable transactional order entry and operational reporting, reducing reliance on manual consolidation for operational processes.
The project consolidated data that had previously been split between a custom Microsoft Access backend and a commercial registration system, and integrated Informer Web Reporting to provide a single reporting fabric. Operational coverage included registration and order entry functions, customer service and event operations, with the combined Entrinsik SEMtek and Informer solution serving as the authoritative data model for those business functions.
Governance changes emphasized centralized data ownership and reporting stewardship to eliminate the prior practice of manually merging systems weekly or daily, a deficiency cited by the CEO. Entrinsik SEMtek and Informer were positioned to provide a trusted, versatile reporting solution supporting order entry and logistical workflows, aligning the Education ERP application with Summit Professional Education business operations.
