In 2025, Royal Sundaram General Insurance deployed FirstApex FirstGen Claims by implementing FirstGen v7 together with the NextGen Integration Platform NIP v3 to modernize Insurance Claims Management. The production launch was completed within 11 months and executed through close collaboration between Royal Sundaram and FirstApex teams, positioning the company to scale claims processing and product launches more rapidly.
The implementation configured low code no code configurability across Underwriting and Claims, automated deployment pipelines, secure integration patterns, and a cloud optimized, private cloud architecture to provide modularity and resilience. FirstGen v7 was adopted as the core system of record and configured to support commercial lines transaction processing workflows, policy and claims lifecycle orchestration, and case management capabilities expected of an Insurance Claims Management platform.
NIP v3 was deployed to standardize integrations across channels, partners, regulators, and vendors, enabling multichannel connectivity and API based orchestration for downstream systems. The combined platform now manages over 40 Million policies, 8 Million transactions, and 6 Million claims across 140 branches with 1800 active users, and the project included a large scale migration covering 48 Million records executed with minimal business disruption.
Governance and rollout were governed by a joint delivery model between Royal Sundaram and FirstApex, executed as a coordinated upgrade and platform deployment over an 11 month timeline.
