McLeod Software Legacy McLeod FlowLogix Business Process Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2014 2014
In 2014, Sunset Transportation implemented McLeod FlowLogix as a Business Process Management application to embed market intelligence into daily brokerage workflows. The implementation targeted the companys seven branch offices across the United States and Mexico and focused on delivering DAT Freight & Analytics metrics directly into broker screens to support load-level negotiating decisions. Sunset used McLeod FlowLogix Designer to create visual, workflow-based automations that pull external data and surface it inside the McLeod TMS PowerBroker interface. McLeod FlowLogix was configured to present DAT metrics including Load-to-Truck Ratio, Market Conditions Index, MCI Forecast, and Ratecast on each shipment screen, enabling brokers to access capacity and rate predictions without leaving the TMS. Integrations were explicitly built between McLeod FlowLogix and DAT Freight & Analytics so that predictive and historical market signals are available at the point of decision. The operational coverage centered on brokerage and carrier sourcing teams, with corporate strategy and training functions consuming the same metrics for coaching and policy decisions. Governance and process changes accompanied the technical implementation, with teams using the surfaced metrics to standardize negotiating playbooks, create coaching workflows, and define promotion criteria based on market-aware negotiating performance. FlowLogix-driven screens and reports became the authoritative source for daily negotiation posture, accelerating new broker onboarding and enabling structured performance reviews. The documented outcomes include faster access to market data, elimination of manual lookups that previously cost 60 to 90 seconds per shipment, increased broker confidence in negotiations, improved coaching capability, and the ability to identify and promote negotiators based on market-relative performance. McLeod FlowLogix remains the central Business Process Management layer through which Sunset operationalizes DAT analytics into brokerage decision processes.
