The broader Oracle R12 Financials footprint included AR, PO and GL modules, and AP configuration aligned ledger posting rules and payment posting to existing general ledger controls.
Operationally the system supported the finance and accounting teams, with daily operational monitoring and interface oversight between Accounts Payable and other financial modules. Senior Systems Analyst activities explicitly included monitoring day-to-day issues across AR, AP, PO and GL, and creation of PL/SQL scripts for data analysis and data gathering to support reconciliations and reporting.
