In 2018 Sydney Childrens Hospitals Foundation implemented ADP PayForce to manage Payroll for its Randwick, NSW operations. The deployment supported fortnightly end to end payroll processing for approximately 100 employees and centralized payroll administration under a Payroll Officer and Accounts Officer function.
ADP PayForce was configured to handle core payroll processing, award and EBA interpretation, new starter setup and termination administration, maintenance of employee leave records, and payment of superannuation. The Payroll Officer used ADP PayForce to run reports in support of payroll projects and to serve as first contact for resolution of payroll queries. Routine tasks recorded in the system included file maintenance and ongoing payroll reconciliations.
Operational finance activities were executed alongside payroll administration, with the payroll team entering creditor invoices, setting up new suppliers, processing employee reimbursements and employee credit card transactions, and conducting fortnightly payment runs for creditor invoices. The implementation also included processing transfers of funds from Sydney Childrens Hospitals Foundation to Sydney Children Hospital and UNSW regarding specified accounts, aligning payroll outputs with external payment flows.
Governance and workflow responsibilities were concentrated in the payroll function, formalizing payroll query triage, employee record maintenance, and scheduled reporting within ADP PayForce. This arrangement positioned ADP PayForce as the transactional Payroll system supporting both HR administration and core finance operations.
