In 2013, T-Systems implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as a core ERP Financial platform. The deployment installed ECC 6.0 EHP6 on Linux SUSE 11 running on Oracle 11g and followed a full SAP lifecycle approach covering installation and initial configuration.
Implementation activities included installing and configuring ECC, SCM, CRM, EP, XI/PI, BI and J2EE components, along with GRC 10 deployed on Netweaver 7.0 through 7.4. SAP Solution Manager 7.1 was installed and configured to support system monitoring, change control and transport management across the SAP landscape.
Operational responsibilities encompassed Basis support, daily administration and system maintenance, with applied support packages, patches and minor upgrades executed using the Software Update Manager. SAP security administration maintained users, roles and authorizations, while SAP Change Requests and transport administration enforced promotion of configurations and code. SAP ERP ECC 6.0 provided ERP Financial capabilities to support finance and core enterprise processes.
Database and platform engineering covered Oracle 11g operations and database migration projects to HANA using the DMO feature of the SUM tool. HANA administration and monitoring were performed using HANA Studio, and performance tuning and monitoring processes were part of ongoing system management.
