In 2013, Taking Shape implemented an In-House ATS to manage hiring across its Australian retail operations. The In-House ATS functions as the company Applicant Tracking System supporting corporate HR, talent acquisition, and hiring managers across stores and head office.
The implementation emphasized typical Applicant Tracking System capabilities, including job requisition and posting workflows, CV and candidate profile intake, structured capture of preferred role and location, candidate status tracking across stages, and templated candidate communications. Public-facing candidate intake was routed through the published careers email address careers@takingshape.com, with CVs and noted role and location preferences captured into the In-House ATS for processing by recruiters.
Operational governance was centered in HR and recruiting, with the In-House ATS used by recruiters and hiring managers to standardize application reviews and candidate routing. Configuration and workflow automation focused on intake-to-interview orchestration and maintaining a central candidate database to support store-level and corporate hiring activities.
