IFS Legacy IFS Reporting (formerly P2 Reporting) Analytics and BI Analytics and BI n/a 2018 2018
In 2018 Talos Energy deployed IFS Reporting (formerly P2 Reporting) as a centralized Analytics and BI application to support finance and accounts payable reporting for the company. The implementation focused on capturing invoice-level metadata and allocation attributes used day to day by Accounts Payable staff, enabling standardized reporting on AFE coding, LOE designations, and allocation fields required by upstream cost accounting. IFS Reporting (formerly P2 Reporting) was configured to provide operational financial reporting, ad hoc query capabilities, and dashboarding oriented to transactional invoice and allocation workflows. Configuration work emphasized invoice attribute schemas, AFE and LOE dimension mapping, and reporting views that reflect coding practices performed by AP clerks during invoice intake, scanning, and check run preparation. The reporting environment consumed source data generated by AP operational tools in use at the time, including scanned invoice streams and invoice coding activity recorded in DocVue and BOLO, plus manual inputs related to vendor onboarding and W9 collection. Operational coverage centered on the Accounts Payable function and its supervisory review processes, with reporting surfaced to finance teams responsible for weekly check runs and monthly G&A invoice processing. Governance alignment for the deployment emphasized using IFS Reporting to standardize allocation and AFE coding controls, to support timely processing of monthly invoices, and to make coded invoice records available for vendor inquiry resolution. Implementation narratives reflect configuration of allocation-centric reporting, role-based access for AP clerks and supervisors, and reporting artifacts oriented to auditability of coded invoice transactions.
