Deltek CostPoint was configured to support control account budgeting and earned value management processes, including establishing cost and schedule baselines, updating forecasts, and producing monthly EVM variance analysis. The system accommodated control account manager responsibilities for more than 15 control accounts, weekly timesheet approval workflows, and the generation of comprehensive EAC reports submitted to the Controller for approval. Configuration emphasized financial forecasting, budget management, and EVM metric calculation to align program control and finance functions.
Operational integrations and system coverage were explicitly supported, with CostPoint administered alongside Unanet and Cognos as part of the broader reporting and time capture stack. The implementation included integration touchpoints for timesheet approval and financial reporting, Cognos report development access for three employees, and coordination with IT to create test databases and validate system data integrity. Users supported by the environment included Program Managers, Business Development, Contracts, Program departments, and executive leadership including the Controller, CFO, and CEO.
Governance and process structure were formalized through defined control account manager roles, monthly forecast review cycles, and documented procedures for implementing scope changes within earned value frameworks. As part of the same engagement Tapestry Solutions executed a complete 401K asset transfer and termination for two acquired organizations consolidating into a third company, embedding retirement asset governance and termination processing into the HR workflow. The scope therefore combined ATS implementation, career site and job content governance, high-volume senior recruiting, and retirement plan transfer operations within a single five month Core HR engagement using ADP Workforce Now.
