| Esker SA | Legacy | Esker Accounts Payable | AP Automation | ERP | n/a | 2023 | 2023 |
In 2023, Teknion implemented Esker Accounts Payable as an AP Automation solution to standardize and scale accounts payable processing across its global sites. The decision followed an environment where AP automation existed within the corporate shared services function while much of North America, Asia and Europe relied on manual workflows, prompting leadership to pursue a cloud platform that could consolidate information from multiple ERPs and apply AI-driven automation.
The Esker Accounts Payable deployment centers on AI-driven invoice capture and data extraction, automated routing and approval workflows, exception handling and supplier collaboration capabilities. Configuration focused on workflow orchestration and case management to reduce manual touchpoints, while leveraging Esker’s machine learning to improve invoice recognition and automated matching over time.
Architecturally, the implementation uses Esker’s cloud platform to bring together transactional data from multiple ERP instances and unify ERP workflow across sites, creating a centralized AP processing layer that interfaces with each on-premise or cloud ERP system. Operational coverage extends beyond the corporate shared services center to Teknion’s global sites, aligning AP processing across regions and business units and consolidating supplier communications under a single platform.
Governance and rollout emphasized standardizing approval rules and exception workflows, expanding shared services best practices to regional teams and instituting a single-source AP process for oversight and control. Outcomes called out by Teknion include enhanced operational efficiencies, a more efficient payables process, improved supplier support and a reduced workload for the internal AP team as the company scales its finance operations.

In 2015, Teknion implemented Google Hire as its Recruiting,Applicant Tracking System. The implementation used Google Hire's cloud hosted application to publish public job listings and surface openings on Teknion's career site.
Google Hire provided core ATS capabilities including job requisition publishing, candidate tracking, pipeline management, interview scheduling, and offer workflow configuration, consistent with Recruiting,Applicant Tracking System functionality. Google Hire was configured to capture candidate records and manage workflow states across the hiring lifecycle.
The deployment integrated the public jobs feed with Teknion's website via the Google Hire public jobs page at hire.withgoogle.com/public/jobs/teknioncom, enabling direct application submissions to be captured inside Google Hire. Operational ownership sat with Teknion's recruiting and HR teams, which used Google Hire for posting roles, applicant intake, and progressing candidates through stages while applying centralized status tracking and role based access controls within the ATS.

| Infor | Legacy | Infor Baan ERP | Manufacturing ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2007 | 2007 |
In 2007, Teknion implemented Infor Baan ERP as its Manufacturing ERP platform, initiating a consolidation of enterprise resource planning infrastructure into a single Baan installation. The work centered on embedding the company’s finance application module into the core Infor Baan ERP environment to centralize financial processing under the Manufacturing ERP strategy.
The implementation integrated the finance application module into Infor Baan ERP, aligning finance functional components including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable with the ERP master data model. Configuration activities included harmonizing the chart of accounts, standardizing transactional posting rules, and centralizing financial ledgers inside the Infor Baan ERP application.
Architecturally the project merged two separate Baan installs into a single Infor Baan ERP instance, consolidating the application tier and the underlying database to remove duplicate environments. This consolidation required rationalization of instance-specific customizations and reconciliation of master data to enable a unified operational environment for financial transactions.
Operational scope focused on the finance function and the cross functional workflows that depend on financial data, with the implementation team coordinating cutover of transactional processing to the consolidated instance. Governance changes included instituting standardized ledger controls and centralized change management for Baan configuration to sustain consistency after the merge.
