In 2015, Telmate implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP to support its ERP Financial operations across its United States distribution business. The deployment targeted finance and accounting for a 200 employee company with $35,000,000 in revenue.
Implementation work centered on configuring core financial modules within Oracle NetSuite ERP, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, tax accounting and consolidated financial reporting. The project extended inventory and order management capabilities to align transaction flows with financial postings, establishing standard chart of accounts mappings and accounting automation for sales and procurement events. Revenue recognition rules and month end close workflows were configured to support controlled period close processes.
The solution was delivered as a cloud hosted SaaS Oracle NetSuite ERP instance with role based access controls and centralized master data management. Automated journal posting and reconciliation routines were established, and workflow driven approval paths were configured for vendor payments and customer credit. Operational coverage included finance, accounting, procurement and distribution site transaction processing.
Governance established segregation of duties through role based permissions, a change control process for chart of accounts and reporting changes, and a phased rollout of financial modules to minimize operational disruption. Training and documentation were produced to support ongoing operational ownership by internal finance teams.
