In 2008 Teraco deployed Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise as its ERP Financial system. The deployment was led by a cross-departmental team focused on updating IT systems and delivering custom programming to align accounting workflows with company structures. Implemented modules included core general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting and consolidation capabilities to support multi-entity accounting. The Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise implementation centralized financial data and standardized the chart of accounts across corporate and the newly acquired subsidiary.
The project included migrating the newly acquired subsidiary to Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise from QuickBooks, involving data migration, chart of accounts mapping and configuration of intercompany consolidation. Custom programming work addressed unique accounting rules and automation of journal entries, and IT and finance collaborated on cutover planning and transactional reconciliations. Operational scope covered finance, accounting and IT departments, with a phased rollout sequence designed to preserve month end close continuity. Governance was exercised through the cross-departmental team, which managed configuration change control, testing cycles and post go-live support.
