Oracle Legacy Oracle Retail Merchandising System Retail Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2016 2016
In 2016 Tesco Stores SR, a.s. deployed Oracle Retail Merchandising System to govern stock ledger functions across Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary. The implementation focused on Retail Management capabilities for inventory accounting, merchandising and stock control, aligning the Oracle Retail Merchandising System with Tesco Stores SR, a.s. stock ledger business function. Configuration work centered on the stock ledger module, inventory valuation and reconciliation workflows, and merchandising rule configuration. Business analysts gathered exact requirements and conducted a detailed analysis of differences between existing designs and target processes to translate local and Group needs into configuration and process flows for the Oracle Retail Merchandising System. The program coordinated with Finance, IT and Commercial streams at both local and Group levels to define touchpoints and data handoffs for stock accounting and merchandising processes. Operational coverage included store and central merchandising operations across the four countries, and User Acceptance Testing cycles of the Oracle Retail Merchandising System were executed with business users and stakeholder presentations of test results. Project governance combined project management and subject matter expertise in the stock area, with responsibilities to clarify requirements, manage cross-stream cooperation, perform UAT, present findings to stakeholders and provide business support during testing. The governance approach emphasized traceability from requirements through configuration and UAT to ensure the Retail Management deployment met defined stock ledger and merchandising control objectives.

After the successful pilot in Slovakia, the solution was rolled out to Tesco Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Thailand and Malaysia, extending operational coverage across Central Europe and South East Asia.
