IgniteTech Legacy IgniteTech Computron ERP Financial ERP n/a 2015 2015
In 2015 Greater Dandenong implemented IgniteTech Computron as its ERP Financial system. The deployment centralized core municipal finance functions for the City of Greater Dandenong, bringing general ledger, accounts payable, bank reconciliation and treasury workflows onto IgniteTech Computron to support day to day finance operations. Configuration work focused on bank reconciliation for the council's two main bank accounts, daily cash flow tracking and short term obligations forecasting, accounts payable payment runs and vendor master maintenance, monthly journals, reconciliations and accrual processing, and preparation of annual financial statements and grant acquittals. IgniteTech Computron was configured to support treasury activities including investment portfolio visibility and routine journal automation, and to enforce staff financial delegations used in payment approvals. The implementation integrated IgniteTech Computron with existing council systems including Computron Financials, Property & Rating TechOne, Magiq, Kofax, RapidAP, FlexiCapture, Objective ECM and CommBiz, and relied on Office applications for analysis and user workflows. Document capture and AP imaging were instrumented through Kofax and FlexiCapture feeding RapidAP and the ERP, while Objective ECM and Magiq provided document retention and retrieval; CommBiz was administered for bank connectivity and payment user management. Operational governance emphasized vendor master controls, CommBiz user administration, and delegation workflows to support weekly payment runs and audit preparedness. Finance team members reported process optimizations such as consolidating utilities accrual inputs using Excel Power Query, visualising investment maturities with PivotTables, and streamlining bank reconciliation and journal templates with advanced Excel techniques, which improved accuracy and reduced manual processing effort.
