Oracle Legacy Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP Financial ERP n/a 2014 2018
In 2014, The Conti Group implemented Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne in the ERP Financial category to create a single source of truth and support growth. The CIO, Cullin Wible, led the initiative to update end of life technology and streamline a highly customized system while preserving the company’s track record of reliably completing projects. The Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.1 deployment prioritized application rationalization and configuration control, reducing custom objects from 4,000 to 1,000 and consolidating security from 115 groups into 30 security roles. User interface and menu simplification reduced menu items from 4,200 to 650, and Universal Process Knowledge UPK was used to standardize training content and improve ease of use. Architecturally the program moved Conti from an IBM platform to an Oracle platform, enabling current platform capabilities including mobile app usage and third party app compatibility. The platform migration and JD Edwards configuration changes underpinned improved system availability and operational stability. Terillium served as the JD Edwards implementation partner and executed an aggressive 115 day upgrade timeline, delivering go live on time and under budget. Rollout governance emphasized role based access consolidation, menu governance, and a structured UPK driven training program to reduce ongoing support and speed user adoption. Outcomes reported by Conti include a 75 percent reduction in custom objects, an 85 percent reduction in menu items, overhead cost savings estimated at $150,000 to $200,000 per year, approximately $100,000 per year in training and support savings, and a change in availability from 20 percent downtime per day to zero downtime. The Conti Group now operates Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne as its ERP Financial system supporting finance and project operations across its construction and infrastructure business lines.
