BestNotes EMR was used to record COWS/CIWA assessments, vital signs capture, nursing clinical notations, medication orders and reconciliation, and uploads of urine analysis and other laboratory documentation, enabling structured admission documentation including medical history, physicals, and scheduled follow up appointments.
Operational workflows integrated BestNotes EMR into care coordination with physicians, the clinical team, and the nursing department, and included explicit processes for contacting external pharmacies to set up intake accounts, fill new and refill medications, and manage disposal of discontinued and controlled medications.
