In 2023, The First Bank implemented Ivanti Neurons for IT Asset Management as part of an Ivanti-centered stack, with the deployment framed under Hardware Asset Management (HAM),Software Asset Management (SAM),IT Asset Management (ITAM),SaaS Spend Management. The program targeted the bank’s distributed operations from its headquarters in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and 104 community-bank locations, and was positioned to support regulatory audit requirements for service maps and data flows.
The implementation inventoryed and centralized IT asset lifecycle functions through Ivanti Neurons for IT Asset Management, and was deployed alongside Ivanti Neurons for Service Mapping and Ivanti Neurons for ITSM to create an integrated configuration and service management fabric. Functional capabilities implemented include automated asset discovery and configuration tracking, service and data-flow mapping for business services, ITSM incident problem and change processes aligned to ITIL principles, and automation-driven provisioning for employee onboarding via Identity Director and Ivanti Automation.
Infrastructure and integrations were explicit components of the architecture, with Neurons for Service Mapping producing topologies that identify servers, IP addresses and cloud services and feed those relationships into the ITAM and ITSM layers. The HR system was configured as the source of truth for onboarding attributes, Active Directory updates were automated for provisioning and deprovisioning, and Identity Director, Automation and Neurons for ITSM were integrated to orchestrate end-to-end workflows. Network Consulting Services acted as the implementation partner for deployment and configuration.
Governance and operations shifted toward standardized ITIL processes and automation, enabling faster incident resolution and tighter evidence for auditors and regulators. Reported operational outcomes include time-to-repair reduced to three to four minutes in many cases and a 53 percent first contact resolution rate, automated onboarding that replaces a paper PDF workflow, and a consolidated single-vendor platform approach to support continuity planning and scalable growth.
