DTCC Legacy DTCC CTM Platform Trading Platform Investment Management n/a 2022 2022
In 2022, Iyo Bank became the first regional bank in Japan to adopt the DTCC CTM Platform, a Trading Platform deployed from DTCC's ITP suite to automate post-trade matching and reduce manual touches across equities and fixed income. The implementation positioned the DTCC CTM Platform as the core post-trade matching engine for Iyo Bank, with explicit focus on same-day matching and no-touch settlement workflows in the Japan market. The deployment included CTM, ALERT and Settlement Instruction Manager modules, configured to handle automated trade comparison, exception notification and settlement instruction lifecycle management. CTM was implemented to centralize match logic and tolerance rules, ALERT was used to surface and route exceptions, and Settlement Instruction Manager was provisioned to drive instruction propagation and reduce manual instruction entry. As part of DTCC's ITP suite the solution was integrated into Iyo Bank's post-trade operations for both equities and fixed income, affecting back office operations and settlement teams rather than front office trading systems. Operational scope emphasized Japan processing and same-day matching capability, enabling no-touch post-trade processing across multiple asset classes while maintaining regional settlement conventions. Governance and workflow changes centered on automation of exception workflows and settlement instruction governance, shifting operational responsibility from manual reconciliation to system-driven exception resolution and instruction automation. The bank reported outcomes aligned with the project goals, including improved settlement times and a reduction in operational risk, and achieved higher same-day matching rates through the implemented DTCC CTM Platform.
