In 2015 The Pirbright Institute began implementation of the Access People HR System, a Core HR application that centralized HR and payroll administration. The project managed migration of HR and payroll functions from the UKSBS Oracle E-Bus Shared Service into the Access Group HCM System and reached final implementation in April 2016, with the program recorded as successfully managed and implemented.
The deployment focused on the Access People HR System and the vendor module Access HR Select HR/Payroll Application, with configuration work across core HR records, payroll data schemas and pay-run interfaces. Implementation work included hands-on development of over twenty major data loads, using MS SQL Server and MS Excel for staging and transformation, and the vendor data loading utility for ingestion into the Access People HR System.
Integrations and operational coverage centered on replacing the shared service feeds from UKSBS Oracle E-Bus Shared Service and establishing internal HR payroll processing within the Access Group HCM System. The scope covered HR and payroll business functions and required data reconciliation, schema mapping and payroll record validation prior to cutover.
Project governance was run from analysis through to final implementation with one dedicated Data Migration Analyst guiding the end-to-end migration, and the implementation team maintaining iterative data load cycles and validation checkpoints. The rollout completed in April 2016 and is documented as a successful migration to the Access People HR System in support of core HR and payroll operations.
