In 2014 The Shelbourne implemented Infor SunSystems as its ERP Financial solution to centralize core financial management for the hotel. The deployment was executed while an Information Systems Intern on staff supported a coordinated set of upgrades across the property technology stack, and the Infor SunSystems implementation formed the finance backbone of that effort.
Implementation work focused on standard ERP Financial capabilities, including general ledger configuration, accounts payable and receivable workflows, cash management, and financial reporting tuned to hospitality accounting practices. Configuration activities included chart of accounts mapping, period close automation, user role and access configuration, and setup of consolidation and departmental coding to reflect front of house and food and beverage revenue streams.
The project was run in parallel with upgrades to Opera and Simphony, creating integration touchpoints for revenue posting and transactional reconciliation between Infor SunSystems and property management and point of sale systems. Operational scope centered on the finance department while requiring cross functional data feeds from operations, sales, and F&B teams to ensure accurate posting and month end reconciliation.
Governance and rollout emphasized structured change control, test script execution, staged cutover and finance sign off, with the Information Systems Intern contributing to upgrade testing and execution tasks. The deployment positioned Infor SunSystems as the single ERP Financial ledger for the organization and realigned month end workflows and operational posting processes across departments.

The deployment reflects standard Time and Attendance architecture patterns, with Mitrefinch Time and Attendance serving as the central timekeeper for HR and operational payroll preparation.

In 2014, The Shelbourne deployed Oracle MICROS Simphony Cloud as its Point Of Sale platform. The cloud-hosted Oracle MICROS Simphony Cloud implementation was executed as a hotel-wide rollout covering front of house outlets including restaurants, bars and banquet operations, reflecting an enterprise-oriented POS deployment across the property. The program ran alongside concurrent SUN and Opera system upgrades and was described internally as the largest IT project undertaken by the hotel since its reopening.
Configuration focused on standard Point Of Sale functional areas such as order entry, payment processing, outlet management and kitchen routing, with centralized menu and pricing controls delivered through the Oracle MICROS Simphony Cloud management layer.
