In 2013, The Whole Person implemented Gray Swan Amber Clinic Manager. The installation used Gray Swan Amber Clinic Manager as a Medical Practice Management application to standardize clinical and administrative workflows across the nonprofit's programs and to support the company's growth and quality of service delivery to consumers.
Implementation design emphasized a pipe and filter model to identify bottlenecks and to measure system resource usage and process behavior at operational boundaries, complemented by object oriented development methodologies and efficient database design. Configuration work aligned with typical Medical Practice Management capabilities including patient scheduling, clinical documentation, encounter tracking and billing orchestration, while architectural recommendations focused on modular interfaces and scalability.
Operational integrations administered as part of the program included company access provisioning to CyberAccess, E-Verify, Family Care Safety Registry, Employee Disqualification List, CYMA, EMOMED, the New Hire Reporting web site, Skylight, MITC, HHA Exchange and Global Cash Card System, alongside payroll processing workflows interfacing with QuickBooks, Paycor and the company bank. These integrations supported HR, compliance, payroll and clinical operations across the organization.
Program governance combined managed rollout and ongoing upkeep of software with attendance at state quarterly meetings to stay current with Consumer Directed Services Program changes, and included backup payroll administration responsibilities. Technical stewardship delivered recommended architectural improvements and integration solutions, and provided methodologies for object oriented software development and efficient database design to sustain operations.
