In 2019, Thor Group implemented AS SGA from AS Software Group alongside the vendor ERP FAS-5 at its Castellgalí chemical manufacturing unit, Thor Especialidades. The deployment began in 2019 and has been rolled forward with ongoing improvements since the initial roll out. AS SGA was configured to provide Warehouse Management capabilities including inventory tracking, stock control, lot traceability, and specific controls for ADR classified storage and shipment handling. Configuration focused on warehouse operations, inbound and outbound process orchestration, and traceability workflows to meet chemical handling and compliance requirements. The implementation integrated AS SGA with AS Software Group's ERP FAS-5 to synchronize inventory and transactional records between warehouse operations and the ERP layer, supporting warehouse-to-finance reconciliation and transport documentation workflows. Operational coverage was concentrated on the Castellgalí site, encompassing on-site warehouse and logistics teams, ADR storage staging areas, and transport execution processes. Vendor and press materials explicitly cite AS SGA module usage, and the implementation achieved better stock control and traceability at the Castellgalí operations. Governance and process work emphasized site-level process realignment and phased functional enhancements, with the project maintained through iterative improvements after the 2019 rollout.
