In 2014, Thule implemented To-Increase Data Collection Studio to strengthen operational data capture within its Supply Chain Solutions for Microsoft Dynamics AX, aligning captured telemetry with Analytics and BI reporting needs. The deployment was positioned to feed structured collection events into reporting and analysis pipelines, using the To-Increase Data Collection Studio as the primary capture layer for warehouse and supply chain transactions.
The implementation concentrated on data collection and processing capabilities typical of Data Collection Studio, including barcode scanning driven transaction capture, transaction staging and batching, validation rules applied at capture, and mapping of collected events to Microsoft Dynamics AX transaction structures. Configuration work emphasized reusable collection templates and data validation logic to ensure consistent inventory and movement records were created before posting to ERP.
