In 2018 TireHub implemented Emburse Enterprise for Expense Management. The deployment targeted corporate finance and shared services functions supporting a distribution organization of approximately 1,600 employees.
Emburse Enterprise was configured to support core Expense Management capabilities including employee travel and expense reporting, policy based approvals, expense auditing, receipt capture, and AP handoff workflows. Implementation work focused on centralizing employee setup for expense reporting, automating routing for approvals and general ledger coding, and establishing AP integration points for vendor payment processing.
Operationally the system was stitched into ongoing accounts payable activities where clerks retained responsibility for invoice audit, PO matching, vendor setup and W 9 collection, check disbursement processing, outstanding check research, and vendor statement reconciliation. Emburse Enterprise was configured to interoperate with the company ERP Epicor P21 for GL posting and vendor payment posting, and to consolidate employee travel expense workflows that had been handled in Chrome River.
Governance changes formalized routing and approval controls within shared services, centralized maintenance of the AP mailbox and vendor queries, and standardized GL coding rules for expense and payables transactions. The implementation emphasized end to end orchestration between expense reporting, AP processing, and ERP posting, with operational ownership retained by finance and shared services teams.
