| Oracle | Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne | Oracle E-Business Suite | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017, TopBuild implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial system. The deployment replaced Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and centralized project accounting, procurement, and materials workflows in Oracle E-Business Suite.
The implementation emphasized modules for purchasing and procurement, goods receipting and inventory control, project cost accounting and cost tracking, and supplier relationship management. Configuration supported jobsite planning for materials levels, vendor direct shipments or load out from warehouse, and recording of material transfers between regional divisions to maintain project accountability.
TopBuild consolidated ERP and CRM functions within Oracle E-Business applications to align field production, procurement, logistics, and project accounting processes. Operational coverage included coordination with field production teams for project jobsite planning, daily logistics operations with suppliers to enforce on time delivery and accuracy, and cross divisional material transfers tied into inventory and cost ledgers.
Governance and process changes focused on control points for accurate purchasing and receipting, standardized project cost accounting workflows for vendor direct and warehouse load out transactions, and reporting of materials against project budgets, actuals to date, and variances. Supplier relationship management and daily logistics controls were formalized to support accountability and traceability of project materials.

In 2017, TopBuild implemented Workday HCM to manage Core HR functions within its human resources organization. The deployment established a centralized core HRIS platform intended to consolidate employee records, organizational management and business process orchestration for HR operational workflows.
The Workday HCM rollout emphasized business process configuration and hands-on HRIS administration, with explicit hiring requirements calling for 4 years of experience managing core HRIS technology and 1+ years of experience with Workday HCM. Configuration work centered on the Workday HCM business process framework, role-based security and configuration-driven workflows, supported by Excel-based data preparation and analytic validation.
Operational ownership was placed with HR and HRIS teams, requiring strong communication across functional levels and formalized governance for change control and business process ownership. | COINS Global | Legacy | COINS ERP | Construction ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2003 | 2003 |
In 2003 TopBuild implemented COINS ERP, adopting the Construction ERP application to consolidate financial, project and branch operations across its nationwide insulation installation and distribution networks. The deployment covered corporate headquarters in Daytona Beach, FL and supported TruTeam's approximately 200 branches and Service Partners' roughly 75 branches, aligning field service, distribution and corporate finance data flows into a single ERP.
TopBuild configured COINS ERP to run core Construction ERP modules including job costing, project accounting, general ledger, accounts receivable, credit management, procurement and inventory management. COINS ERP was used to operationalize accounts receivable and credit workflows described in the Sr. Analyst Credit Risk and AR role, such as credit application review, manual credit holds, credit limit adjustments on accounts $10K and higher, unapplied payment research, month end accruals, and CRA dashboard reporting.
Operational governance centralized credit decisioning under the National Credit Manager, with Regional Credit Teams and Division Managers coordinating through shared services processes implemented in COINS ERP. The system supported structured account review workflows, including 24 hour credit turnaround for balances $10K and higher, ongoing monthly reviews of high-balance accounts, and audit-ready documentation for accounts receivable and collections activities.
