In 2009, TransRe implemented Infor SunSystems as its ERP Financial platform. The deployment targeted the Hong Kong finance organization of the mid-sized insurance firm, aligning core ledger and reporting processes with corporate accounting requirements.
Infor SunSystems was configured to support core financial modules typical of an ERP Financial solution, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and structured financial reporting workflows. Configuration emphasized chart of accounts alignment, multicurrency ledger handling, and month-end and quarter-end close orchestration to meet insurance accounting cadence.
Reporting and consolidation used Infor SunSystems together with Vision, with TransRe generating monthly and quarterly reports by using Sun System and Vision. Data flows were organized so financial data from Infor SunSystems fed reporting processes in Vision to produce consolidated period reporting for the finance organization.
Governance and operational ownership rested with TransRe finance and accounting teams, who maintained standard operating procedures for period close and report production. Controls and role-based access were defined to support regulated financial reporting within the Hong Kong entity.

In 2015, TransRe implemented MicroStrategy ONE Analytics to centralize reporting and analytics for its Hong Kong insurance operations. The deployment addressed Analytics and BI needs by standardizing enterprise reporting and delivering interactive dashboards and dossiers through MicroStrategy ONE Analytics across underwriting, actuarial, claims and finance functions.
The implementation focused on building a governed semantic layer, role based security, scheduled enterprise reports and self service ad hoc analysis capabilities typical of an Analytics and BI deployment. A MicroStrategy Architect led architecture, data modeling and configuration work, designing metadata objects, reusable reports and interactive visualizations to support business user exploration and executive dashboards.
Deployment architecture followed a centralized server model feeding from internal insurance data sources, with phased enablement for departmental reporting and user training for governed self service. Governance around data models, user roles and release cadence was instituted to maintain analytical consistency and control as adoption spread through TransRe Hong Kong operations.
