| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2015 | 2016 |
In 2015, Trinks implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its core ERP Financial application. The deployment established SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to consolidate finance, procurement and sales process execution for the 1500-employee distribution company Trinks in Germany.
The implementation concentrated on the SAP Basis platform and the functional modules MM, SD and FI. Configuration work aligned MM to purchasing and inventory valuation workflows, SD to order-to-cash and billing processes, and FI to general ledger posting and period-end financial close activities, with SAP ERP ECC 6.0 serving as the authoritative application for transactional and financial data.
Architecture was delivered as a centralized ERP stack consistent with SAP ERP ECC 6.0 best practices, consolidating transaction processing for distribution operations. Operational coverage explicitly included finance, procurement, sales order management and warehouse inventory control across Trinks business functions.
Governance and lifecycle stewardship were formalized through a Product Owner role for SAP Basis, MM, SD and FI. Trinks documented a Product Owner in these areas from April 2020 to July 2022, responsible for ongoing configuration stewardship, release prioritization and cross-functional incident and change coordination for the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 environment.
