| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Trinseo implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial platform. The implementation was organized by a newly formed global IT function operating as a greenfield team, tasked with provisioning core financial and operational processes across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and EHS functions.
The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 rollout focused on Record to Report finance capabilities, Customer to Cash order to cash workflows, Source to Pay purchasing processes, Make including EHS and production execution, Fulfill and Deliver material movement, and Enterprise Data Management. Configuration and development work emphasized ABAP development patterns, ABAP Core Data Services, and integration points for reporting and governance using BW BI and GRC on the NetWeaver stack.
Architecturally the program incorporated SAP technology extensibility and cloud centric components, leveraging experience with SAP HANA, HEC, SAP Cloud Platform, Fiori, UI5, NetWeaver Gateway, and BW BO for analytical and user interface layers. The Application Development Architect role was responsible for designing non SAP strategic solutions that interfaced with ECC, and for driving integration patterns, database procedure usage, and UI5 based front ends consistent with the SAP landscape.
Operational governance included embedding SOX aware controls into finance process mappings and working with SAP Basis and IT Shared Services on capacity planning, SLA definition, and system monitoring. The implementation established enterprise process ownership across finance, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics, and emphasized centralized data models and control points for downstream reporting and compliance.

| Workday | Legacy | Workday HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2012 | 2012 |
In 2012, Trinseo implemented Workday HCM. The deployment targeted Core HR capabilities to centralize employee records and organizational structure management as the foundation for HR operations.
The Workday HCM implementation focused on organizational management and core employee record management consistent with Core HR functionality, including configuration for position and job data, transactional workforce events, and authoritative employee data stewardship. A named Superuser role was established, the Superuser for US, who coaches on organizational structures and designs, inputs employee data into Workday HCM, and maintains credible system data.
Operational coverage centered on US HR operations with the Superuser model providing local governance and frontline HRIS administration. The role functions as a data steward and coach, bridging HR business partners and system transaction processes to preserve data integrity within Workday HCM.
Governance emphasized role based stewardship and process ownership, where the US Superuser maintains authoritative employee records and advises on organizational design changes. Trinseo Workday HCM Core HR supports HR and organizational design business functions through this centralized Superuser driven model.

| Circularise | Legacy | Circularise Platform | Blockchain Platform | Blockchain | n/a | 2022 | 2022 |
In 2022 Trinseo participated in a multi-party pilot that deployed the Circularise Platform as a Blockchain Platform to test blockchain-enabled mass balance bookkeeping and traceability across chemical value chains. The pilot convened 10 companies including material suppliers and brands, and explicitly connected Circularise’s public blockchain approach with ISCC Plus certification procedures to validate sustainable content across certified sites.
The implementation used the Circularise Platform to upload site-level data and to record material flows, employing smart contracts to store balances, record transactions, and apply mass balance rules. Functional capabilities exercised during the pilot included traceability of feedstock flows, encrypted data authentication, decentralised proof publication on a public blockchain, and audit-oriented transaction immutability to support certification evidence.
Integration was directly aligned with ISCC Plus certification workflows, where site-specific audits and mass balance calculations remained the governance mechanism for verifying sustainable content while blockchain records complemented audit trails. Auditors and certification bodies tested reliance on on-chain proofs to streamline parts of the audit, and the public blockchain architecture was chosen to reduce the risk of proof reuse across assets by making claims verifiable and tamper-evident.
Operational scope covered multiple operators and certified sites across the participating value chain, with the Circularise Platform serving as the shared bookkeeping and reporting layer for mass balance credits. The pilot prompted alignment of internal processes with ISCC Plus requirements, deepened partner understanding of mass balance bookkeeping, and demonstrated a governance pattern where certification audits and on-chain records together improve data integrity and cross-organisation collaboration.
