In 2023, Truvideo implemented OpenAI Embeddings within its Generative AI Platforms stack to power context aware PDF processing and customer messaging workflows. Truvideo is a Boston based platform that enables vehicle service departments to send custom videos to clients, and OpenAI Embeddings was embedded into a Python and Flask based service to generate vector representations consumed by downstream GPT prompts and contextual response logic.
The implementation is organized as a microservice architecture, with discrete services for audio extraction, subtitle generation, real time communication, mass marketing notifications, and document processing. The audio extraction microservice was built to extract audio from video and generate subtitles using Google Speech to Text and later OpenAI Whisper, the PDF processing service uses OpenAI Embeddings together with the GPT API to provide context based responses, and a Redis pub sub powered communication service handles in app messaging. A real time voice bot was developed using Python and Flask and integrated with AWS for backend scalability and to support concurrent sessions.
