Functional configuration emphasized administrative processing workflows and claims adjudication rules aligned with payer business policies to support member servicing and back office finance operations.
Operational scope covered regional operations in New England and impacted administration, claims, finance and customer service teams. Data migration included extraction, transformation and reconciliation of source data, with staged cutover sequencing to move production processing into HealthRules Payer while maintaining member servicing continuity.
Governance included an on-site Product Analyst engagement from December 2019 to August 2020 in Watertown, Massachusetts, supporting testing, data validation and cutover activities. The program aimed to increase administrative efficiency, improve claims adjudication rate, increase compliance and reduce administrative costs by centralizing core payer processing in HealthRules Payer.

The implementation emphasized ingestion pipelines and data transformation capabilities, with Palantir Foundry receiving streamed messages from Kafka topics and curated datasets pushed from a Hadoop server. The technical architecture incorporated Microsoft Azure public cloud for infrastructure and virtual machines, Kafka for message streaming, Hadoop as a raw data landing zone, and SQL Server and Oracle relational stores feeding the analytics fabric. Palantir Foundry was integrated into the existing data ecosystem through RESTful interfaces and streaming connectors, enabling automated ingestion of LBP processed messages into the Foundry environment.
Project governance and operational controls were documented through requirement documents, system design and architecture diagrams, and role based access controls implemented via ASP.NET login areas to manage dataset access. Security and data integrity measures were enforced using T SQL for database controls, while development and QA processes included test case definition and coordinated maintenance of pipelines and reporting assets.
