| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, Turner Construction implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its core financial system, classified under the ERP Financial category. The engagement was anchored in a multi-year SAP CPI integration program that began in August 2019 and continued through March 2024, centered in Dallas, TX within Turner Construction Construction Services operations.
Implementation work focused on financial and master data interfaces and synchronous transaction flows, with SAP ERP ECC 6.0 providing on premise ERP, and SAP BW and CRM included in the on premise landscape. Functional capabilities implemented included Project Financials Statistics exchanges, customer and vendor master synchronization, and delivery of New Project Sales Opportunity identifiers from CRM to Salesforce, all aligned to ERP Financial use cases.
The deployment architecture used multi-tenant SAP CPI to mediate between cloud SaaS and on premise systems, specifically interfacing Salesforce Cloud and I-9 Complete SaaS with on premise SAP ECC, BW and CRM. Integration patterns included synchronous RFC calls from SAP CPI that split a Salesforce request and combined responses from ECC and BW to return a unified Project Financials Statistics payload to Salesforce, a custom synchronous REST API using OData to deliver Sales Opportunity IDs from SAP CRM to Salesforce, synchronous REST interfaces to I-9 Complete including electronic signature based authorization, inbound IDoc DEBMAS flows to import new customer partner data into ECC from Salesforce, and outbound IDoc CREMAS flows to export vendor master data from ECC to Salesforce.
Program governance was led through SAP CPI design, development and architecture roles on site, with formal evaluation of integration platforms completed as part of the engagement. A detailed technical comparison between Dell Boomi, Mulesoft and SAP CPI was prepared and the recommendation to use SAP CPI was accepted by the client. The implementation team worked directly with SAP to resolve cloud service issues, enabling timely resolution and continuation of the CPI based integration architecture across Finance, Sales CRM, HR onboarding and Procurement master data workflows.

In 2020, Turner Construction implemented Sterling Background Check as its BackGround Screening solution to support HR and talent acquisition workflows. The initial deployment emphasized continuity of background checks and drug testing during a tumultuous period, aligning screening activity with Turner hiring processes and compliance requirements.
The implementation covered core BackGround Screening capabilities, including criminal and identity screening, configured drug testing workflows, and management of compliance forms and candidate communications. Sterling Background Check was configured to administer screening package definitions, manage candidate notifications and adverse action workflows, and centralize documentation needed for regulatory and internal compliance.
Operationally the solution supported Turner Construction human resources and talent acquisition teams and extended into site-level hiring processes within the company. Sterling teams provided intensified client advisory and operational support in 2020 to ensure Turner remained informed and able to continue background check and drug testing processes without interruption.
Governance changes emphasized updating forms and screening processes to preserve compliance, with Sterling advising on process requirements and documentation updates. As an outcome explicitly documented by Turner, the engagement with Sterling helped ensure continued compliance in processes and forms during the 2020 period.

| ConstructConnect | Legacy | On-Screen Takeoff | Construction Estimating | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2014 | 2014 |
In 2014, Turner Construction deployed On-Screen Takeoff for Construction Estimating across its Southeast commercial preconstruction teams. The deployment supported cost estimates, drawing and specification reviews, and material quantity takeoffs for all major commercial projects in the Southeast region, and became a core tool used during pre-bid Task Force Meetings.
On-Screen Takeoff was used to execute discipline estimates and to critically manipulate blueprint drawings to combine and integrate subcontractor obligations and expenditure inputs, reflecting standard measurement and quantity-takeoff workflows in Construction Estimating. Estimators leveraged the application to produce material quantity lists, prepare technical reports, correspondence and status reports, and to supply detailed takeoff-based inputs used in scheduling support for multibillion dollar bid segments and job phases.
Operational coverage for the On-Screen Takeoff implementation included estimating, preconstruction, procurement and project management functions, with teams across the Southeast region using outputs to monitor services, supplies and equipment and to inform contract management activities. The implementation supported data collection, analysis and reporting to enable data-driven bid preparation and decision support.
Governance centered on standardized takeoff review cycles, peer review and supervisory oversight to ensure consistent estimating practices across projects, and on providing professional advisory input from experienced estimators to peers and managers. The full application name On-Screen Takeoff remained the primary estimating application within Turner Constructiononstruction Estimating toolset for the specified commercial project scope in the Southeast region.
